# Website Tracking

Website tracking installs the Cekat snippet on your website. Once it's installed, Cekat can see which ads and creators bring visitors and what those visitors do next. If you run more than one website, set them up one at a time.

## Open Website tracking

1. In the top navigation, click the Marketing tab.
2. On Marketing Home, under Connect your website, click Review.

## Add and select websites

* To add a website, click Add another site.
* Added websites appear as buttons below the title. A green dot means the website is verified, and the count appears on the right, for example “2 of 4 verified”.
* Click a website to see its settings.
* To check the installation again, click Re-check. To remove a website, click Remove.

## Install the snippet

Cekat automatically detects whether your website uses Google Tag Manager or WordPress. When it does, Cekat can install tracking directly on your website, so you don't have to copy and paste any code yourself.

Under Install, choose an install method:

* Custom code (recommended): paste the snippet yourself. This works on any website.
* Google Tag Manager: Cekat adds the tag directly to your Google Tag Manager container.
* WordPress plugin: Cekat installs tracking on your WordPress site with a single plugin file.

For Custom code:

1. Click Copy to copy the snippet.
2. Paste the snippet before the closing `</head>` tag. It has to run on every page. If your site has a shared layout or template file, adding it there once covers the whole site.
3. Publish your website.
4. Test the connection (see the next section).

The snippet works on static sites and custom frameworks. For Next.js and Nuxt, put it in the document `head`, not in a page component. The snippet loads asynchronously, so it doesn't slow your pages down, and it's safe to use alongside Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any other tag.

## Test the connection

1. Make sure your website is published.
2. Under Test connection, click Test connection.

When it works, you see “Tracking is installed” along with the time and the address of the confirmed website.
