# Columns

Use the Columns tab to manage the custom properties available on the board. You can reorder columns by dragging and dropping them.

#### 1. Column list

* Shows every column with its name, type and creation date.
* Drag and drop to reorder columns.
* Click the settings icon to open **Column Settings**, or the delete icon to remove a column.

#### 2. Column Settings

Click the settings icon on a column to open the **Column Settings** window. It has two tabs:

* **General:** the column's basic settings.
  * **Column name:** up to 100 characters.
  * **Column type:** the column's data type. It can't be changed after the column is created.
  * **Column visibility:** whether the column is **Visible** or **Hidden** on the board.
  * **Field requirement:** whether the field is **Required** or **Optional**.
  * **Edit access:** whether the field can be edited (**Editable**) or only read (**Read-only**).
* **Additional setting:** extra settings specific to the column type. Not every column type has this tab.
