Template

In short: the Template feature lets you add extra fields that appear when someone creates a ticket. You can tailor templates to all kinds of business needs, such as orders, technical issues and more. With templates, tickets can do much more than handle orders.

How to create a ticket template:

  1. Open the Template tab

    • In the left navbar, click the Ticket tab. You'll see a few options: View Ticket, Template and Product. Choose Template.

  2. Create a new template

    • Click Create Template to create a new template.

  3. The Create Template pop-up has two sides:

    • Left side: the title, suggested fields and the fields you've added.

      • There are preset templates you can use under "Quick Start with Template", such as order or order issue.

      • Once you've chosen a field type, you can enter a default value (optional) as well as the field name.

    • Right side: the field types you can add. The available field types are:

      • Text: regular text, letters or numbers.

      • Number: numbers only.

      • Date: shows a date picker.

      • List Option: creates a dropdown.

      • Price: adds a price, such as shipping or COD, which is added to the product price automatically.

  4. Enter a title

    • Give your template a title.

  5. Add fields to the template

    • To add a field, click + next to one of the available fields. It will appear on the left side.

  6. Set up your fields

    • Tick Required if the field must be filled in.

    • To remove a field, click Delete or the trash icon.

  7. Set up a List Option

    • When you add a List Option, two options appear by default. You'll need to name both.

    • To add another option, click Add Option. This adds a third option.

    • Name the third option, or if you don't need it, click the X on its right to remove it.

    • Important: a List Option needs at least two options. You can only remove extra options (the third one onwards), not the first two.

  8. Finish creating the template

    • Once you've added all the fields you need, click Create.

  9. See your template

    • Your new template will appear in your list of templates.

  10. Set a template as default

    • To make your new template the default, just click it. It becomes the default and is marked as such.
