How to Connect Gmail and Google Sheets to Cekat Automations
Cekat Automations can connect to Gmail and Google Sheets through an OAuth connection. This guide walks you through creating a Google Cloud project, turning on the APIs you need, creating OAuth credentials and connecting them to your automation.
Step 1: Create a Google Cloud project
Open the Google Cloud Console.
Click the project picker at the top of the page, then choose New Project.

Enter a project name, such as Cekat Automations.
Click Create.
Once the project is created, make sure it's selected in the project picker.
Step 2: Turn on the required APIs
From APIs & Services → Library, search for and enable these APIs:
The Google Drive API is needed so Google Sheets can find, create and watch spreadsheets.

Step 3: Set up the OAuth consent screen
Go to APIs & Services → OAuth consent screen.
Choose External, unless you use Google Workspace and need an internal setup.
Click Create.
Fill in the app details:
App name: Cekat Automations
User support email: your support or administrator email
Developer contact information: your administrator email
Click Save and Continue until you reach Scopes and Test users.
On the summary page, click Back to Dashboard.
If the app is still in Testing mode, add the Google account you'll be using as a Test User.
Step 4: Create an OAuth client ID and client secret
Go to APIs & Services → Credentials.
Click + Create Credentials, then choose OAuth client ID.
Under Application type, choose Web application.
Enter a name for the credential, such as Cekat Automations Web.
Under Authorized redirect URIs, click + Add URI.
Enter the Redirect URL shown on the Cekat Automations connection page.
Leave Authorized JavaScript origins empty unless your setup needs it.
Click Create.
Copy the Client ID and Client Secret for the next step.

Never share your Client Secret publicly or put it inside a workflow.
Step 5: Connect to Cekat Automations
Open your automation in Cekat Automations.
Add a Gmail or Google Sheets node.
Click Create Connection or Add Connection.
Enter the Client ID and Client Secret from Google Cloud.
Click Connect.
Follow Google's login and authorization steps.
Once that's done, go back to your automation and carry on setting up the node.

Once the connection is set up, you can use Gmail and Google Sheets in your automations through the nodes available in your workspace.
Permissions requested
During OAuth, Google asks for permissions based on the services you're using:
Gmail: send email, read email, and create or manage drafts.
Google Sheets: access spreadsheets and Google Drive to find or pick a spreadsheet.
Google account: identify the connected account.
Google shows you a summary of these permissions before you finish authorizing.
