# Web Livechat Inbox

### How to connect a Web Livechat inbox

### **Step 1: Create a Web Livechat inbox**

1. Go to the Connect Platform page
   * Open the **Connect Platform** page from the **navbar** or the **Settings menu**.

2. Click the plus button to add a new inbox or platform
   * Click the **"+"** button to the right of **Inboxes** to add a new inbox or platform.

3. **Choose Web Livechat**

   * Select the **Web Live Chat** option.

4. **Set up your Web Livechat inbox**
   * Enter the following:
     * **Inbox name**
     * **Description**
     * **Division**
     * **Human agent**
5. **Add FAQs**
   * Enter the questions and answers you'd like customers to see as quick message shortcuts.
   * To add another FAQ, click **Add Question**.
6. **Add social links**
   * Add links to your social media, such as Instagram, Facebook or your business website.
   * To add another link, click **Add New Link**.
7. **Finish the setup**
   * Click **Finish**.
   * Your Web Livechat inbox now appears under **Connected Platform**.

### **Step 2: Add Web Livechat to your business website**

1. **Open WordPress to add a plugin**
   * Log in to your business website through **WordPress**.
   * Under **Plugins**, choose **Add New Plugin** on the left of the screen.
2. **Find and install the plugin**
   * Search for **"Simple Custom CSS and JS"**.
   * Click **Install Now**, then **Activate**.
3. **Set up the plugin**
   * On the **Plugins** page, find **Simple Custom CSS and JS** and click **Settings**.
   * Click **Add JS Code** at the top of the screen.
4. **Add the Web Livechat embed code**
   * Copy the **embed code** from the Web Livechat inbox you created earlier.
   * Paste it into the code field in the plugin.
   * Click **Publish** on the right of the screen to save it.
5. **Check it's working**
   * Open your business website to make sure Web Livechat appears and works as expected.
