# TikTok DM

## TikTok DM

Connect your TikTok Business Account to receive and manage TikTok direct messages (DMs) in Cekat.AI.

**Note:** The TikTok DM integration is currently an MVP. Some messaging capabilities are still limited because of TikTok's API restrictions.

### Before you start

Before you connect your account, make sure:

* You have an active TikTok Business Account.
* Personal TikTok accounts aren't supported.

### Connecting your TikTok inbox

1. Open **Connected Platform**.
2. Click **+ Add Inbox**.
3. Choose **TikTok**.
4. Sign in to your TikTok Business Account.
5. Authorize the permissions requested.
6. Return to Cekat.AI to finish connecting.

Once you're connected, your TikTok inbox will appear under Connected Platform.

### Messaging rules

TikTok messaging follows TikTok's platform policies.

| Rule                     | Description                                                                                                                          |
| ------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| Business accounts only   | Only TikTok Business Accounts can be connected.                                                                                      |
| 48-hour messaging window | You can reply within 48 hours of the customer's last message. After that, you'll need to wait for the customer to message you again. |
| 10-message limit         | You can send up to 10 messages in each 48-hour window. The limit resets whenever the customer sends a new message.                   |
| Supported message types  | You can send text and image messages. Video messages aren't supported.                                                               |
| Links                    | Outbound messages can't contain URLs.                                                                                                |
| Message history          | Messages sent before the integration was connected won't be imported into Cekat.AI.                                                  |
| Message sync             | Messages sent from the TikTok app may not appear in Cekat.AI right away.                                                             |
