# AI Orchestration

AI Agent Orchestration lets a conversation move automatically from one AI to another, based on conditions you set. The system keeps reading the assign condition on every agent in the diagram (parent and child). As soon as a condition is met, the conversation moves straight to that agent. It's not about the order of a flow, it's purely about the condition.

1. **AI Agent Orchestration**\
   This feature lets an AI **hand over to another AI dynamically**.
   * There's no fixed sequence.
   * A handover happens when one of your assign conditions **is met**.
   * It can move from parent to child, from one child to another, or from a child back to the parent.
2. **Turning on Orchestration**
   * Open the AI Agent page.
   * Go to the **Orchestration** tab.
   * Turn on the **AI Agent Orchestration** toggle.
   * Once it's on, you can add several agents to the canvas (a parent plus children) and set the assign condition on each card.
3. **Parent and child agents on the canvas**
   * **Parent agent**: the main agent, usually where the conversation starts.
   * **Child agents**: other agents that take over when certain conditions are met.
   * Every card (parent or child) can have an **Assign Condition** and become the destination, as long as its condition matches the conversation.
4. **Adding a child agent**

   <figure><img src="https://3693109682-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FZNZlvyOVkZXyd3pz2Cql%2Fuploads%2Fkn1Ga1jH2cJAaJ72RgzC%2FScreenshot%202025-11-26%20at%204.14.01%E2%80%AFPM.png?alt=media&#x26;token=37308451-5f51-4fcb-993e-e4a7ee4c3178" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

   * Click **Add Child Agent**.
   * Choose the AI you want to use as a child.
   * Fill in the **Assign Condition**, for example:
     * "when the user asks about shipping costs"
     * "when the user asks about delivery status"
     * "when the user complains about an order"
   * Save. The child agent appears as a green card below the parent.
5. **How assign conditions work**
   * The system reads the assign condition on every agent on the canvas.
   * When the conversation meets a condition:
     * The conversation **moves straight to** the agent with that condition.
   * For example:
     * The user asks about shipping → the shipping condition matches Child A → the conversation moves to Child A.
     * The user then asks about an invoice → the invoice condition matches Child B → the conversation moves to Child B.
   * There's no fixed path. What decides it is always **the active condition that matches**.
6. **How Orchestration behaves**
   * Orchestration here works at the level of the **inbox and its orchestration canvas**, not as a separate setting in the AI's profile.
   * If an AI has orchestration settings somewhere else but is used on this inbox's canvas, **only the conditions on this canvas apply**.
   * Every card (parent and child) can:
     * Read conditions, and
     * Become the destination when its condition is met.
7. **Saving your setup**
   * After adding or changing agents and their conditions, click **Save Configuration**.
   * Until you save, the system won't apply your changes to real conversations.
